Photographers Workshop this Saturday, the 2nd!

This Saturday from 10AM to 4PM I will be hosting a photographers workshop at our studio in Santa Cruz. We are pretty full, but if you want to make it last minute, we might be able to squeeze you in. There are photographers attending that range from beginner to seasoned professional. We'll be covering the following topics: Creative composition, creative light, seeing natural light, interacting with your models, posing and post production techniques. This is for wedding photographers, portrait photographers, and generally photographing people.

WPPI Print competition Second Half 2007 - Wedding Photographers

I entered these 3 images in the Wedding & Portrait Photographers International Print Competition in the second half of 2007. All 3 of them won the Accolade Of Excellence award! This award is described as: "High Standard of professional skill, creativity & technique." I always love entering competitions, it really helps me improve in all areas; where I am doing right, and where to improve.

Heather Noah & Jordan with baby boy - Pregnancy portraits

We did Heather & Noah's wedding last year, and they got right to it. I was honored to photograph their pregnancy portraits, and can't wait to meet their new bouncing baby boy. We'll see you then!

Bethany & Stephen's engagement portrait in Santa Cruz -Wedding Photographer

Bethany & Stephen like just chatting at coffe houses, cafes and restaurants, so that's where we photographed them for their engagement portraits...in their natural environment. We started at the Buttery, then over to Vida, downtown. Then we went to the lighthouse in Santa Cruz and it started raining just as we got there. They wanted to do a shot we had done for Jessica & Leiko a month before, so we did it...in 2 minutes no less. We were getting wet!
