Jessica & Jonathan had a beautiful wedding on a rainy day in Sonoma. They had a gorgeous white tent sent up complete with professional lighting...and boy did they use it. They partied like it was 1999...wait, I don't even really like Prince that much....Anyway, they were a joy to work with and we definitely had a great time!


They were such good sports, we asked them if they wanted to go out into this field that we had spotted on the way into town. They said "We're down!"

Today we went to the bridal fair at Seascape Resort. Noelle and Cassie greeted us with big smiles, and we talked to many of our friends in the biz. We also met with many couples getting married at the beautiful Seascape Resort. It was a great time in a gorgeous place. Afterwards, we hung out with Gene Higa and Anne Hamilton. We had a glass of wine and tne we had dinner at Paradise Beach Grille. Thanks for a wonderful evening guys!

We asked Jenny and Dan what they would like to do for their engagement photo and they wanted to wear thier rivaling Pleasanton High school's jackets and colors. We said, "ok.." and showed up in downtown Pleasanton. We photographed them in so many different poses and we laughed practically the whole time. THey are so fun and I am sure they will just love some of their expressions.

Sometimes we ask our couples to make a funny face spontaneously. Without thinking, a lot of them make the same face....weird.

Afer we were all done, I stopped them and we did this one really fast. Sometimes my favorites are an afterthought.

Mish and I went to Carmel for a nice little romantic Valentine's dinner. We dined at Casanova in Carmel and wow was it delicious. Mish and I had our first Escargo ever. Not too shabby! Our friend Tim McFadden works there as a wine expert and he stopped by our table for a few minutes. We had the seafood fettucini, Chardonnay and Creme Brulee. Tim took us downstair afterwards into the custom wine cellar. Casanova boasts the 2nd largest wine collection in California worth 3.5 million dollars! Mish and I were in heaven... This is only a very small portion of the cellar, which has 2 levels and rows of wine for days!

We believe that to be at the top of our game, we need to constantly be learning. And that includes listening to other top photographers in the field speak. We went to San Francisco to hear Marcus Bell of Queensland, Australia and Joe Buissink of Los Angeles, Wedding Photographer of the celebrities. We had a great time, learned a few things, and hung out with some really cool photographers. We had lunch with Gene Higa and Anne Hamilton, who are becoming good friends of ours. Becky from Art of Emotion was there also as well as Wayne Everrett. It was really great speaking with Marcus and having a drink with Joe. They are excellent photographers, but more than that, they are great guys that love what they do, and care about helping other people too.
