Puerto Rican Rainforest, Barbados and St. Lucia

We were happy about coming back to San Juan Puerto Rico to see the island. First stop, the Caribbean National Rain Forest. It was incredibly beautiful with thousands of plant species. Next stop was Barbados where we had the pleasure of meeting Tiko (the monkey) on our excursion. Poor thing looked pretty board but got a kick out of grabbing John’s camera. I wanted to give him some rum punch but his owner was passed out in the corner so I couldn’t ask. We had a wonderful day at Malibu Beach where Malibu Rum is made and enjoyed the local life. Victor (an obvious partaker of the rum punch) serenaded us with a not-so-in-tune version of Tina Turner’s “Solid as a rock” but he sure looked special in a Speedo. Our nex port was St. Lucia, I heard it was the #1 place to get married in the world and our good friends Dr. Aaron Hinde and his wife Ramah were united in Matrimony there as well. We first took a tour of the island which stated in the excursion book as “photo tour and minimal walking involved.” What we found this to mean was mostly older folks in dire need of attitude adjustments. “Frick & Frack” was a term used to call your friends back to the bus along with “Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum.” Unfortunately we had the pleasure of meeting “The Four Amigos” who all had matching tee shirts with their pictures on them entitled so. One amigo had a hard time controlling his wandering eyes and I had to spend the rest of the tour with a towel over my top half. We sat at the back of the bus…bad idea, by the time Frick & Frack and the Four Amigos were off the bus it was time to go. Luckily we had the opportunity to meet the goats, their owner and eat the most delicious banana’s we’ve ever had. Today we are in Antigua and will only be seeing the island from the boat as we will be pool side recuperating from the Four Amigos tour. -Michonne Banana Muncher....he must of put down a whole twelve pack! The goat owner was really sweet and gave us fruit to try from her garden. He really got mad when John refused to give him the camera. A lookout tower in the rainforest. Good lookin'. Beautiful view from Dr. Stoney's (brain surgeon) home overlooking St. Lucia. Water is abundant in the rainforest and it can flood like crazy! It rained twice while we were there.
