Merideth & Nick got married at our church in Felton, and then everyone went over to the Portugese Hall in Santa Cruz. Orhtodox ceremonies are very special. It is more a binding sacrament, not a contract. The ceremony is about an hour, and has prayers that cover just about everything. There is also a crowning ceremony that involves symbolism with a King and his Queen, as well as a crown of martyrdom to each other. To truly give oneself up for the other. Kind of opposite of popular culture.
